Movie description in Standalone Mode?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the description of what each of your movies is about in Standalone Mode? I remember reading somewhere that you need to edit meta data or something. I have no idea what that is though.

Sage gurus, is there a way to do this?

I'm very much in the same position. I would not mind using the SageTV software but it requires me having a PC running or setting up a server other than my uNraid.

If anyone else is interested in doing this I figured out how to do it. First you need to download a program that will make SageTV .PROPERTIES files like My Movies Collection Management. Be sure to click the box in the options menu for SageTV .PROPERTIES file. Each movie has to have it's own folder for this to work. Hope this helps.

I have not been able to get this to work. I confess, the issue is probably me. I installed My Movies Collection and went into options and selected the SageTV icon. Then I accessed folders with movies and made sure it had the right info and covers. Then I hit save for each movie (not sure if that was necessary). I then refreshed the SageTV HD300 media import. None of the movie folders gave me the extra information. Is there something else I am missing?

Make sure that there is .PROPERTIES file in each of your movie folders and make sure that there a description for each of your movies in the program. Can you tell me what your settings are in Tools>Options>Meta Data Storage

It is working now. I had the sage option checked (store sage metadata). But I could only start seeing details after I had the SagetV300 rebuild the library...not refresh it. Now when I click on a video file and request details I get a description of the movie. I don't see a nice structure as in MyMovies but I don't think that was the goal of this.
