Sage Client Remote

OK, first of all I am operating under the premise that the Sage Client machine does not need a Video Capture card (a la Hauppauge 250/350) but rather just a Video Card that has TV Out. I am also assuming that the better the Video Card, the better and faster the TV picture is. By "faster" I mean no stutters, etc etc.

OK So far?

Now, my question is, since there is no capture card, what are my remote options for controlling Sage? I read the thread re: the Lola Remote, but the link was no longer valid and it left me confused.

What's the best (and cheapest) remote option for a Sage Client machine?

Thanx

Thanx, SHS.

Got my eye on a nice ATI remote. I am assuming there are no issues with ATI remote and Sage 2.019 Client?

Thanx again.

Judging from what I read, the only diff with the Wonder 2 is an increased range. And since I don't live in a mansion (YET!!) I think the Wonder 1 will work just fine.

I tried it with girder and girder could not do volume up and channel up correctly

IMO for $11 go with the RW 2; never know when you need the extra range. Reports I've run across for the RW2 (I have a RW) mention that the mouse control thingy is superior and some prefer the RW2s shape and button placement.

Also consider the Firefly as SHS mentions. Not used one but I am debating between a RW2 and Firefly.

RW2 also will have other features and future features such as IR support will be added.

Firefly has a nice layout to it, I would say the best layout there is. They also plan to have IR support but I do not know if it will be with the current hardware (with pieces added on) or how it will be implemented.
