Import Media Folders ?

Hello,

I'm using the HD-300 and I'm able to browse to my NAS and play a file. problem is that its asking to configure import media folders but I see no way of actually telling Sage the folders I want to import?

How is this done?

I'm on the current firmware as of Feb 7, 2011.

No. Couldn't get the HD300 to work by itself.

I had to use the SageTV Media Center server software and it now works like a charm!

To bad it wouldn't work by itself the same way.

I opened a thread a few weeks ago basically asking the same thing with still no response. I'm starting to get used to that, the customer service on these products has been so subpar in my year of experience.

To be fair, this forum is NOT a form of customer service. This is a user-to-user forum. If you need customer service/support, you need to visit the support section of the sagetv.com web page.

Import directories can be configured via the file browser -- use Info on a folder to see options for the folder, including adding it as an import directory.

Can you address my question here:

from a week ago where I say that there is no 'Add import directory' option via the info command on folders over the network? (which I assume is the same problem OP here is having with his NAS drive)

The only option available is to 'copy folder to library' which I don't really understand what that is for but it seems like it tries to actually copy the files somewhere which doesn't work.

I checked it out & will post a reply, but as was stated above and in other places on the forum, this is a user-to-user forum. If you are trying to get tech support, contact SageTV directly. There is a link on the main forum page and in my sig lines.
