Narflex has updated the OriginalV2.stv to include a function to change the STV file that SageTV uses on the fly (Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Advanced). The latest version is supposed to support switching with the client as well. So download the updated OriginalV2.stv and place it along with any other STV files you want to try in the Frey Technologies\SageTV\STVs\OriginalV2 folder after quiting out of the SageTV Server and client. Then restart the server and clients.

Anyone with firsthand knowledge with the SageTV Client and STV switching please fill in any additional details.

I have tried switching on the client & cannot get it to work correctly -- I _believe_ I have downloaded the latest versions of all the STVs. Here's what happens on my client system: I start with the original, switch to your (malore) stv in detailed setup, browse around a bit, then try to switch back to the original stv. At that point, it returns to the main menu, leaves the info at the top of the screen from your stv & will not let me make any menu selections.

Does it work for anyone else?

I tried it Saturday, and it was working fine.

I switched from Original -> Malore's -> MLBDude and back a few times.

At least I remember it working, not at home not to test to make 100% sure.

mlbdude's downloadable STV doesn't yet support 'hot-switching' to another STV on the client yet -- are you sure you tried this on the client w/o any sort of shutdown in between?

The version of mlbdude's that I downloaded had STV switching located in Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Multimedia instead Advanced.

Yes, but he specifically said in his thread that it was only available on the server at the moment in his version 1.2.

No, I'm not sure.

I am pretty sure I did Malore's -> Original and back w/o rebooting though.
