Distorted video on startup PVR-350 / SageTV 2.0

On first boot, running SageTV, my video is distorted with a split screen, bars, and no color except grey. If I close Sage and start WinTV2000 everything looks fine. When I then close WinTV and restart Sage all is well. Any ideas?

Are you running the latest drivers from Hauppauge?

Hey,

I have a similar problem except I've got a pvr-250, latest drivers etc etc etc....

when I start sgae for the first time after a reboot, the pic is BW & the sound is all scratchy & reverberated, if I shut down sage, startup snapstream, shutdown snapstream, start sage everything is fine.

any other ideas anyone ?

Just to be clear you only have one PVR card, right? No PVR250 in the same box? I'm just trying to rule out driver issues from mixing type 15/16 cards.

Hi,

I'm getting the same problem. one PVR-250 (NTSC) using S-Video (PAL) format.

1. The picture is Black and White and sound stuttering etc when I first boot.
2 Then Close SageTV.
3. Open WinTV2000.
4. Open SageTV - everything ok.

It seems that WinTV is initializing the drivers differently?

PVR-250 Drivers 1.8
Sage 2.0.

Any ideas?

No great ideas, I thought the newest drivers fixed this. The only thing I can suggest is your workaround of starting WinTV2000 first.

However I would contact Frey to let them know about this and the workaround. This can help them fix it more easily or maybe even get a driver update from Hauppauge. You can contact Frey by the old bug submission form or the official Frey support form.

Shaunb,

Interesting point.....

my pvr-250 is also NTSC but I'm using the composite input with a PAL signal (if that makes sence)
