Properties files imported as videos

I have a bunch of .properties files being imported as videos. My directory structure is like this; G:\Media\Movies. My only import directory is G:\Media. I tried removing my import directory and doing a rescan but that didn't work. What do I need to do?

Thanks,

Tony

I would submit a bug to sagetv. They should not be showing .properties files in the video view.

IF it's diamond it is our bug. If it is a default view it is not.

If you were previously running MyMovies and had the collection manager generate .properties files, use that to clean them up and reimport. That will temporarily fix the problem for now.

I have MyMovies generate properties files turned off (in collection manager), but am still getting properties files created and showing up in movies. I search my import folder every once in a while and delete the .properties files to get rid of them.

EDIT: Nevermind, I had a second instance of Collection Management running on another machine, it had the .properties file creation checked.

Yeah it does but in the current build I forgot to pass "L"

I am still no sure of the properties file issue how they are getting displayed and why they are being imported into the videos section. I think MyMovies code my be doing it but I checked it and it shouldn't be I also wouldn't think the sage core should allow it to be?

I need to talk with sage and see if it is me or them just haven't had time.

You want .properties with the cm btw otherwise you won't get mymovies info into the sagetv core for things like the osd.

I'm having the same issue with some .properties files importing as videos (as is a friend of mine). It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be annoying. I am using Diamond, but the .properties files are visible in the default Folder view in Sage (in the root).

I also sometimes get videos that show up in the root folder view, even though the videos are in a subdirectory and all other videos in the subdirectory are listed in the proper folder. I thought it might be related.

I haven't filed a bug report yet because I haven't had the time to revert back to the default STV and remove all imports.

This is exactly what I'm experiencing.

I talked with sage and it appears I may be doing something wrong in my smm code and importing .properties files but not sure. I will try and look at this over the weekend.

After I enable CM to create .properties files, how do I get it to actually create them? Also, all my movies already have .properties files that were created by BMT. Will CM overwrite those? Do I need to manually delete them all with a script?
