Firewire - No Signal on some channels

This one has me a bit stumped.
I've got a Motorola DCT6200 connected to my Sage PC via Firewire.

Channel Changing works perfectly.

However, some, not all, just some of my channels do not come through.
I.e. I change channel to it, and get 'No Signal'. However, if I connect the DCT6200 directly to a TV (same cable out of the wall for the Comcast connection) I receive those channels just fine.

And it seems to be odd/random channels. Some SD, some HD. Other HD content works fine, just not these particular ones.
E.g. VersusHD does NOT work. ESPNHD, USAHD, TNTHD, etc does.

I'm not sure what to look at or check for in Sage to even begin to resolve this.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

[EDIT] Oh, and I am testing all this through an HD200 extender. My Server is headless. Not sure it makes a difference though, as recordings are not working as well as live TV.

Sounds like some channels are 5c encrypted.

I saw a lot of this when I used to use FireWire to record the streams.

Moved to HDPVRs when it got really annoying and I was missing recordings.

Ah. That would be annoying. Didn't realize the signals were still encrypted coming through the firewire connection.

Thanks

Yeah, most have had to give up firewire recording many years ago.

It's been fine until just recently. VersusHD vanished last week. Annoying as I was watching the Dakar. Ah well, I guess I will just wait a couple of weeks and buy a Hauppauge Colossus instead.
