Resetting Channel Lineup

When I switched to v7 my channel line up [I use OTA exclusively] became totally deranged. I need to wipe it and start over again.

I recall from reading a post sometime ago that simply removing and then adding a video source doesn't totally remove the channel lineup and that to do that it was necessary to actually erase a Sage file(s).

As I can't seem to relocated that posting, I'm wondering if I'm making this up or, if true, where I would find the name and location of the file(s) that need removing.

I believe if you remove all sources that use that lineup, it will indeed be removed, and have to be set up from scratch. You may have to also delete the .scn and .frq files from the sagetv directory if your tuner uses those to get a totally fresh start.

Thanks much for the pointer. I renamed the .frq file associated with my tuner - the HDHomeRun - to .frx and then removed that video source and restarted Sage. On re-start Sage asked for a video source and other information and, after answering those questions, then did a full re-scan of the channels for our area. That did OK [though it left some out but that may be the atmosphere today]. Oh, what's a .scn file, please?

Problem is that the Program Guide is displaying channels that are not in the scanned video source channel list. What's with this and how do I fix it, please? I suspect they are left over from the old list of channels. Arrgh.
