Blank (ie; black) screen after stopping playback

I have been using my Sage extender in one room and now have to use it in another room. It plays perfectly (FF, REW, etc all work). But when I press STOP during playback, I get a blank (ie; black) screen and no buttons can get me to any of the menus nor will it resume the playback. I have to re-boot the extender. This happens every time I stop a playback or a playback ends and I click on "delete now". The PAUSE button works OK.
The TV connection is via HDMI. PC connection (from either room) is via Home Powerline Ethernet using the same connector.
I have moved the extender back to its original location and it does goes back to proper operation. Moving to new location, odd behavior returns.
