IR format Actisys IR220L to blast Comcast DTA / Pace DC50X

I’m trying to get Actisys IR200L to control the Comcast DTA (Pace DC50Xu).
(this is the new smaller lower power version, hence the ‘u’ I assume).

I understand the Pace DTA uses XMP-R protocol (device 62.16 meaningful?), and, is not able to accept the old Comcast/Motorola codes like the Pace RNG110 STB can.

I need to create a custom ir file, but I need a description of the Sage file format for the IR200L.

I’m going to translate the codes from a LIRC file that works for the Comcast Pace DC50X. There are two files that use the RAW and CODES format. The Raw file specifies the actual waveform in microseconds, starting with pulse (data) followed by “space”, ending with pulse (data). The Codes version is much simpler on the surface, but you need to have the header setup correctly...

LIRC format description:

Or, of course, if this has already been done, then point me to where to get the Sage ir file.

Thanks,
TW

Here is my .ir file for my DTA DC50Xu. Using with a usb-uirt and it works perfectly.

Grabbed it from another thread, sorry can't credit properly.

Thanks -- if I'm forced to get a USB-UIRT I'll use the file (I've downloaded it). It may also provide some additional clues towards making an Actisys file (the usb-uirt format looks simpler, but I still need more info on the Actisys format).

How do you plan on getting the input to work? I've tried this, but in order to get the external remote plugin, you have to select composite/S-Video as the input, not RF. Have you found a workaround?

Yeah that's a little confusing but, no you don't have to select composite.

The capture card is a PVR-250

See the Sage V7 manual page 159.

Basically you select input type TV Tuner
Then select Use External Receiver
Then when prompted, enter the channel: 3 or 4 per DTA output switch setting.
Then you are prompted for the Tuning Plugin (USB-UIRT, ActiSys, ...)

I was confused about this too, from what I've seen, you can't convert an existing video source. You have to add a new source before you are prompted for the output channel(3 or 4). I hope have two of these adapters, one set on 3 and one on 4. Then I'll use a splitter to join the two so I can use a single 2250 for both sources.
