customisable menus

Hi everyone

I have one HD200 connected to a server with SageMC as its custom UI. I make use of the dynamic menus quite a bit and would like to have a different menu on the HD200 and the main server. However, when I made changes on the HD200 and saved the file, these changes have also been replicated on the server. Is there a way of having different customised menus?

thanks

lee

You'll have to make a duplicate copy of your sagemc_menu.xml file for each different configuration you want to use, and then utilize that different file from the dynamic menu configuration.

Thanks for the reply (and sorry if I'm being dumb): do you mean that I can create two xml files (server_menu.xml and client_menu.xml) and can then tell the server and client to use different ones, or that I create the two menus and every time I want to change from one to the other, I need to go into the menu configuration page?

I really hope it's the latter!

It's the former... make two xml's, load one up in the server, then load the other one up in the client. Any changes made on the client will only affect the client xml file, so those changes will persist there.
