HD-PVR failover
I am considering adding a second HD-PVR and DirecTV receiver to my setup.
Since removing the IR blaster from the equation a year or so ago the HD-PVR has been much more stable, but still goes south on me a couple times a month. I am curious whether I would gain a degree of fault tolerance as a side benefit of adding a second HD-PVR. If one HD-PVR craps out when starting a recording, will Sage automagically fail over to the second HD-PVR, assuming it is not already in use recording/viewing another program? |

I'm not sure if SageTV can/does do any type of failover, but my experience with my two HD-PVRs is that once one of them goes out the second box will fail when attempting to start it's next recording.

It definitely will not switch to the other HD-PVR for a successful recording.
