Shutdown Extender After Timeout?

Here’s a scenario that happens to me all the time. I start watching a movie around 10 and fall asleep only to wake at 3:30 and the TV is on, the Sage server is going, and the picture slide show is transitioning for no one. I have my server setup to sleep during bouts of inactivity for power savings, and my TV shuts itself off after 15min of no signal. So, if I could get the extender to shut down after so much inactivity I would be golden, everything would go to sleep nicely.

Is there a setting, or way to have an extender shutdown/sleep after a designated amount of inactivity? Like if the slide show/screensaver runs for n minutes uninterrupted, turn the extender off, put to sleep etc.

I do remember a sleep timer plugin for SageTV 7 in the repository. Never used it though as I use Windows PCs as clients.

I had requested this feature (although for a different reason) four years ago. Would still like to see it added.
