Where can v6 be downdoaded?
I may need to revert.

I have keys for sageTV v6 and two extenders.
To convert ALL keys to v7...what will it cost and need links to extender key upgrade. Why are they not plain and simple to find?

BUY NOW you cant miss....
UPGRADE NOW...nowhere to be found.

Need a link to v6 download to save on hard drive to go with the keys I already have.

@rgillbilly Why do you want to run V6 rather than V7? Is there some feature, the GUI, something else?

There is no upgrade license for anything but the main sagetv media center software, so to upgrade 'everything', it'll cost $40. As for finding it, navigate to the sagetv store, click on the Sagetv Software category, and the second item in the list is the v7 upgrade.

Best way to revert is to make a backup or disk image before upgrading.

Be aware that V7 converts Wiz.bin to a new format that V6 can't read. So if you have no backups, you will have to start over with an empty Wiz.bin in V6.

Please read the replies to your questions and don't post the same question in multiple places.

No harm intended, and I would love to but...like I said, it has been deleted.
When I click the link provided in the e-mail, I do not find the answer. I find you telling me not to ask the same question twice.

Thanks

Ahh...I see why now and I understand.
Thank you for "merging" but it was confusing.

more questions...
I have 2 sagetv media extenders with their own license keys from 2006.
NO "upgrade" is required of these?

An upgrade to v7 will not make these licenses require upgrade too?

Also I couldn't help notice the download address for the v6 as "tmpfile".
I wouldn't expect to find v3 on your website as this would be silly.
But after installing v7, I was actually surprised to find I had to buy it again and to revert was becoming quite the little task.

My reason @Toricred...sagetv with two extenders has worked flawlessly for 4 years.
Everybody loves it when there is an upgrade to their purchased software...but, I really do not see much of an upgrade. I use it for what it does, not for what it looks like so...it is basically the same. It records my tv the same exact way.

I wish I knew it wasn't a "free" upgrade before installing and that I didn't have to come here to ask for my old one back.
Thanks all

Again, the only cost is the $40 for your sage server. No other cost for upgrading to anything....

can I go back to v6?

I am no Sage TV newbie - I have been running it continuisly since I believe version 2. But this new version UI is TERRIBLE. Menus popping up everywhere on the slightest mouse move, columns pushed all to one side, illegible text...I mean Jeez truly HORRIBLE.

I'd like to go back to version 6.6 but as usual Sage has hidden the download link. Can someone direct me to it.

thanks

I got 6.6.2 from here:

http://www.sage.tv/postDL.php?tmpFil...6_6_2Setup.exe

I played with the v70 DL link and substituted 6.6.2 at the appropriate places.

Hopefully this is what ur lookin for.

How to find older version of SageTV

Due to some flaky behavior out of my SageTV install lately, I want to do a clean install and see if that fixes any of my issues. I am running V6 (not sure what subversion). I only see version 7 on the website, and I understand that would entail an upgrade fee.

I read that you simply go to the download link for V7, but replace the 7_XX_XXSetup.exe with the version you want. I tried that by guessing a few version numbers, but no luck.

Is this the way to find version 6? And if so, what is the exact version of the best (latest?) version 6 release?

Thanks

Where can I download latest SageTV 6 for WHS?

I tried SageTV 7 and have decided to go back to SageTV 6. Is there any way to download the last version 6 release from the Sage website?

Thanks
