I searched for Android in this thread as I've reconsidered my iLust obsession and bought an S3 after seeing the i5 at the store. And not looking back as its awesome and the screen format is so much better than the odd i5 stretched screen. Why they dumped the golden rectangle I will never understand no matter how many times i hear women have little hands so we couldn't make it wider.. crap.

Has anyone gotten this to work on a newer Android OS? -Bill

Gotten which part to work with Android?

The web ui, and the mobil webui, or are you talking about streaming specifically? if you are referring to streaming then I believe the answer is still no not with the built int streaming fromt he mobile webui.. you would have to us TASageTV i believe to stream to android..

thank you! working from outside now.

what would cause the sluggishness from inside the network (which is the same as outside)? Seems like it takes 5-10 seconds for the page to show up, which I assume affects how long it takes to get in from outside

any idea where to download this plugin?

I uninstalled SageTV Mobile Web Interface, and then tried to reinstall it, and what a surprise - FAILED.
Half the web sites listed are 404 as well.
Any idea where this plugin has gone, and how to get it back?

And - why,. if plugins are listed in the "ALL" directory of Available Plugins (V.7), are they not actually available?

Just installed it, so it there.

Not sure what you mean by "not actually available". The plugin manager is not going to link check every plugin when you enter the UI... it could... but then the next post on the forum would be "why does sagetv take 20 minutes when I go to the plugin manager"

I would look at the java version (I'm running 8)... When things fail with the "FAILED" message it's typically a temporary failure form sourceforge (where they are hosted), so retrying a few times will likely work... or, I've seen some older java installs play a role here as well.

Yesterday I set up a new V9 unRAID/docker system and I was able to install all of the plugins except a couple of Slugger's plugins that failed due to a gkusnick plugin not having a valid URL. But I was surprised that the other dozen or so plugins all installed without issue.

ok, I'll try it two or three more times. frustrating regardless the reason...

PS - did you install it thru v.9 I assume, as opposed to v.7? On Windows 7? Via 'All' available plugins page?

I'd send you a screenshot of the failure, but i'm not sure how to post photos on this site.

I don't have a v7 site anymore... once sagetv went open source, I moved pretty much immediately to v9.

Guide Error

I've dusted off my SageTV v9 (windows) test system, updated it to the latest, and updated all the plugins I had.

When I go into the mobile web app, I can look at recordings, etc, but when I try to look at the guide, I get the following error:

"Message: PWC6033: Unable to compile class for JSP PWC6199: Generated servlet error: The type java.util.regex.Pattern cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files "

I'm still using the Sage guide info. I'm pretty sure this was working before all of the updates. Anyone seen this error before? No problem looking at the guide from the regular web server...

Tnx
-Steve

Unfortunately, much of the mobile web app doesn't work with Java 8.

so if you use the mobile app to schedule recordings, often, then uninstall 8 and deal with 7 only?

Ideally, things need to work with Java 8... the underlying issue here is that this is a really old Jetty server and there are issues with Java 8 and JSP pages on that version of jetty. Upgrading Jetty is not a trivial task, but it has to happen, at some point. So, if it's a must have feature and it only works on Java 7... then I you only have 1 option.

FYI, the regular web interface works fine to schedule recordings/search. While it is more of a pain to use on a phone, I've switched to that for now. I do miss the mobile interface, but not sure it's worth ditching Phoenix (and the next Gemstone) for .

Still can't get it to install from the Sage server plugins menu, v. 7, W7 32 bit.
