As far as the photos are concerned, you should be getting them properly, first time I hear about such issues with TiSageTV... Do you see that over wifi or just 3G?

For the streaming, you can indeed get some pauses and it should pick up after buffering.

is there a way to jump forward or backward as of yet? if so, what's the secret. If not, will there ever be?

For the streaming? I know that at WWDC 2011 in June there was a talk about addition to the HTTP Live Streaming protocol for that, but the active development for the iOS streaming plugin had probably already stopped by then.

For the next update of TiSageTV, I would like to increase the minimum requirement to iOS 4.0.

So anyone using TiSageTV on a device with iOS < 4.0? The minimum requirement is already iOS 3.2 and as far as I know, any devices using 3.2 can be upgraded to at least 4.2.1 (like my iPod Touch second generation or an iPhone 3G)...

How about having a trial-version? I'm not sure my server is strong enough to be used with a streaming Ipad, and would like to do some testing before buying the app.

You can use SageTVRemote mainly for testing the Remote control, which is free/ad supported. Then you can use the mobile web server to test the streaming part, as they both rely on the iOS streaming plugin...

Version 1.55

- Added "Rate it" dialog after 10 days.
- Enabled bounce of the scrollview and tableview.
- Can switch between first and last page of the Remote.

Switching between the first and third page of the remote does act a bit strange, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it...

Only since you brought it up, I make a point of not rating apps that have a "rate me" nag... but maybe that's just me. (I also make a point of rating apps I do like too -- and again, maybe that's just me )

Well, it's been on the app store for about 18 months, has received about a dozen rating while having a few hundred users... It will only pop up once, as it sets a flag, 10 days after the first launch of 1.55+, and never again (well if the app is uninstalled and reinstalled that would remove all preferences)... I've nagged more than that on the forum...

I plan to at least tinker with the android version once I get comfortable enough with v7 to move it off the test PC and onto the server. The v6.x webserver method has gotten clunky by modern standards.

I was planning on starting it earlier, but I haven't seen the Tallus owner online in almost a week. I did update the iOS price to $9.99 (not sure how long it takes to show up) until the 5th of July, to cover the Quebec/Canada/USA days. Hopefully the Android versions will be updated soon too.

EDIT: The price update is live now.

Version 1.56

- Tweaked the Remote control's text field.
- Provide the device's resolution to the streaming plugin.
- Convention: Local server = wifi, Remote = cell, Test = unknown.

Using the iOS Streaming plugin version 1.3.5, iPad and Retina users should see an improvement in the resolution being used...

Hello Roy. Enjoy using your app and have given you 5 stars in the store. I'm still a little confused about how videos in the media center update. I know they are supposed to be cached offline (one of the features a like alot) and as I an new videos to Sage, they will be synced with the TiSage app. I've looked through the WIKI and it indicates I should see the number of videos increment as the sync occurs (I assume this is the number in parenthesis in the title bar). So far, the only way I seem to be able to trigger the sync is to wipe the database and let it rebuild from scratch. Is there a sure-fire way to cause the sync to run? Thanks.

Right, as when you go from 0 to 500 video files...

That is the sure-fire way... If the total number has changed enough you might get an incremental update, but I'm not sure that it ever worked properly. I think that I used to have an update button, though it might have been only on the Android version...

Fonceur,

Do you have an older version of the SageTVRemote that works on IOS 3.1.3 that can be downloaded? I have an old iPod Touch 1G that I want to convert into a Sage remote. Unfortunately I can't get it past 3.1.3 due to Apple not releasing an updated firmware. I can't jailbreak it above 3.1.3 either because of it's age. I am expecting an older version of your software may be compatible but understand it won't be as stable as the latest one.

Thanks

Sorry, I'm pretty sure that right from the start the minimum requirement was at iOS 4.0.

I know the feeling, I have a second generation iPod stuck at iOS 4.2.1 and in order to get my apps to work on it I need to jump through hoops. The next generation of Apple development tools (XCode 4.5) is supposed to completely drop support for it and only support iOS 4.3+.

tisage as remote to control sage server

Hi:

I am hoping you can help me with my tisage setup. I had it going about a year ago, but am trying to get it going again. I posted on another thread but I believe this is the right place.

I have the last/latest sage version.

I installed the jetty plugin and changed the port to 9250

I installed tisage (bought it from itunes) on my ipad and in setting set the wifi section to match jetty.

I can see that the sagetv alerts are now visible on the ipad, so I guess that it is working.

The first "x" on the top right is now the antenna symbol, which I think means I have a connection from the tisage app to the jetty server (I think I am using the correct terminology).

When I click the second x, it asks to select a client, but there are no options.

I have the main sage server connected to my tv in the basement and use the sage server to watch and play media. It is not a client.

Is there a way to control this sage server with the tisage?

Thanks!

Don't do that, leave it at its default 8080... The only reason to modify it would be if you have something else already using that specific port.

There are multiple ports being used to communicate various things, jetty web server (8080), SageTV server (9250), SageTV clients (926x). Typically you only need to know about those ports if you need to open them up on a router or firewall.

That does fall into the client category, as far as TiSageTV is concerned.

Thanks - I have it all working. There are 2 issues that have come up that I hope you can help with:

1. Is there a way to name the clients. I only see them as Mac addresses or ip addresses.

2. The remote status says nothing is playing even when I am playing a video.

Thanks again - I love the app.
