HD300 won't show entire movie

I have a number of VOB files that were ripped over a few versions of Clone DVD Mobile. Most are fine but a show weird time codes when played.

Up to now I've used XBMC as my player. It may show 0:20 seconds as the duration for the whole VOB while playing initially and that will grow as the movie plays. Sometimes the duration is more, or less. I wasn't too worried because everything worked.

I've sinced changed to a SageTV HD300 setup. When the SageTV HD300 tries to view these same VOB files it will stop as soon as the 0:20 second mark (or whatever the initial timecode duration is). Sometimes this is in the middle of the movie (Date Night) and sometimes this is very early (The Nightmare Before Christmas)

So I have the following questions:

Is there a setting I can use in SageTV so this time code weirdness doesn't prevent playback (Like XBMC seems to be able to do)

Is there some tool I can use to fix the time codes on the existing files (which I don't have DVD's for in many cases)
