RC3 Client Meltdown

well for the whole week everything worked great with RC3, last night "DURING" the final episode of friends, the client locked, then I switched over to video out and saw that it was the PVR 350 which was locked, rebooted , nothing, finally after friends I reinstalled the drivers and got it back running.
Have not idea what happened, the only thing which accidently happened, was at the beginning of friends, my wife wanted to watch it live and I selected the wrong channel and realised my mistake and so changed to the proper channel, in the system info it showed that both were recrdoing, so I would think, 2 files of the same name. Maybe this caused the meltdown?
Well this morning I restored a ghost image of the original setup which was working perfect and so I am back to last weeks config.
Luckily for me I had the TV tuned and so watched the rest of the frineds episode live, was a near death experience :P

Re: RC3 Client Meltdown

I believe that the root issue here was that you were watching Friends. Luckily, there is a workaround. Since Friends is no longer, this particular bug is no longer an issue. I hope this was informative

I.

I had a similar unexplained RC3 Client meltdown...

In the middle of a show, I got up to check on the baby and accidentily pressed the power button on my ATI Remote, and it shutdown Sage. No big deal...I thought. Upon restart, the video was extermely choppy and the audio was cutting in and out. I tried another Sage Client restart - no go. Went downstairs to check the server, and it was humming along great - good sound and video. Thinking it can't hurt, I restarted the Server and then the Client again - same thing. Ultimately, to get things working again, I had to uninstall the Client, delete the Frey directory, and reinstall. Doesn't make sense, but it resolved the problem.
