R5000 Mod vs HD PVR

I already have money sunk into HDPVR but wanted to get a comparison. I have FIOS and wanted to see if people had views on R5000 vs HDPVR. I'm convinced that that's the HDPVR is the only thing that keeps my WAF from being 100%. Can I eliminate the slow channel changes and the occassional glitches with R5000?

i would call it ten, no worse than the hdpvr
