transcoding help

I had been transcoding my HD-PVR (.ts) files under 6.6 no problem.

Now I moved to ver 7, and I copied over my 3 customized transcoding formats, the transcode process runs and only the audio is output into the .avi file, no video. Any ideas? Something must have changed in ver 7, that doesn't like my format. Below are my sage.properties formats:

transcoder/formats/Blackberry\ Quality=f\=mp4;MCompressionDetails\=-maxrate 1250000 -bufsize 33554432 -g 300;[bf\=vid;f\=mpeg4;br\=1000000;fps\=24;w\=480;h\=270;][bf\=aud;f\=aac;sr\=44100;ch\=2;br\=96000;]

transcoder/formats/XVID\ XVID-HD-DI\ Quality=f\=avi;MCompressionDetails\=-vtag xvid -deinterlace;[bf\=vid;f\=xvid;br\=1000000;fps\=29.97;w\=624;h\=352;arn\=16;ard\=9;][bf\=aud;f\=mp3;sr\=48000;ch\=2;br\=128000;]

transcoder/formats/XVID\ XVID-SD-DI\ Quality=f\=avi;MCompressionDetails\=-vtag xvid -deinterlace;[bf\=vid;f\=xvid;br\=1000000;fps\=29.97;w\=512;h\=384;arn\=4;ard\=3;][bf\=aud;f\=mp3;sr\=48000;ch\=2;br\=128000;]

Transcoding is definitely broken in ver 7. Some formats it just fails for others like my custom formats, it doesn't rip the video.

Wow. I can't reliably use SageTV's transcoder for HD-PVR files under v6 or 7, inevitably the audio and video end up out of sync on one compressed show or another.

I'm currently running v7.0.20 and have been experiencing the same problem since about v7.0.15. I submitted a bug report today.

below are my new transcoding mods that actually work in Beta 7.0.18 and they transcode .ts and .mpgs recorded from 2 HD-PVRs and 2 HVR-2250's

this one I use to rip everything down and get the file size down while trying to maintain some quality --
transcoder/formats/MINE=f\=mp4;MCompressionDetails\=-maxrate 1250000 -bufsize 33554432 -g 300;[bf\=vid;f\=mpeg4;br\=1000000;fps\=29.97;w\=624;h\=352;][bf\=aud;f\=mp3;sr\=48000;ch\=2;br\=128000;]

this is what I use so that I can take a previously compressed file to further allow me to then play it on my bold -- I do believe it will also take a full size file no problem but I have all my favorites auto-compress so I usually do this manually afterward and for only a select videos.

transcoder/formats/Blackberry\ Quality=f\=mp4;MCompressionDetails\=-maxrate 1250000 -bufsize 33554432 -g 300;[bf\=vid;f\=mpeg4;br\=1000000;fps\=24;w\=480;h\=270;][bf\=aud;f\=aac;sr\=44100;ch\=2;br\=96000;]

Hope this helps someone, enjoy.

I just uploaded a test file that I was unable to transcode and received the following response from the SageTV developers: "OK, I can reproduce the issue. We'll look into it and I'll let you know the resolution." Sweet...

I saw release 21 appear two hours after the "this just in..." message from developers however there's no mention of a fix that sounds related to this in the release notes.

Does anybody have any input if this is a release 22 thing or was this considered to be 'in' 21?
Thanks in advance,

From the v7.0.21RC5 release notes:

10. Fixed bug with transcoder where MPEG2-PS files with a bad PSM wouldn't have all the streams properly detected
