HD300: Jumpy weather crawl
I'm using my HD300 in extender mode (6.6.2, fw ). I have native output resolution switching enabled, and I'm displaying to a Sony 1080p panel. When I watch a 1080i station that is showing a weather crawl, the crawl looks pretty bad (stutters, freezes, skips) when I have the HD300 output set to 1080i. It is fine if the output is set to 1080p or 720p (and much worse at 1080p/24, but that's expected). It is also fine if I bypass SageTV, and use the TV's tuner.
Is this behavior normal? I seem to remember seeing the same thing on my hd100 (which is why I disabled native resolution switching). Thanks, Drew PS: I'm running the beta f/w that came out last week. I have no idea how to find the revision w/o dropping out of extender mode. Telnetting in, the kernel is: Linux HD300 2.6.33-5-sigma #153 PREEMPT Tue Sep 14 18:41:58 EDT 2010 mips unknown
