Sorry guys but I'm sure you gonan know the answer to this. I've been searching for a bit but can't find the answer. I have Phoenix Fan Art installed and MetaData Tools. I see the small fanart coming up in the corner of the guide and shows so I know its collecting some Fan art but after enabling Fan Art on every screen I can find I can never get back ground fanart to show up.
Please tell me what piece I'm missing. Looks great otherwise except I agree with somebody else that the fonts on the home screen need to be smaller. Thanks Rob |

Also you might have automatic fanart fetching turned off in BMT. These are all just guesses till I see a screen shot. Please post so I can get you sorted out. Cheers, Jeremy |

I noticed a couple of bugs in this theme last night. I apologize if these have been noted before.
1. you don't list the duration of dvds in the dvd info pane. BDs do have the duration. I know the run time is in the property files for my dvds. 2. in the help screen where you put up the flashing red boxes and describe what you will see in that area, when you get to the time region, the time text in the left pane gets garbled. 3. I haven't figured out how to reinstall this ui mod after having uninstalled it. It appears to be installed, but i get a hybrid default stv with diamond menu animations (the cool rotating arrow thing) and a blue hi-lite bar. no amount of reinstalling or importing diamond ui mod appears to get me the full diamond ui. Thanks again! |

2. Not sure what we did there but if logged we can look at it keeping track of post here is too difficult the log is or reference for issues. 3. You must renable it...beyond that there is nothing else to do. |

Looks like the header mod messed the new help screen up, I will log and fix. To uninstall you need to go into the installed plugins and uninstall the Diamond UI Mod and then uninstall the Diamond Theme after. To install you only need to install the UI Mod as the Theme is called by the UI Mod as a dependency and will install automatically. Cheers, Jeremy |

the only way I got diamond to reinstall correctly was to uninstall the ui mod and manually uninstall the diamond theme. after I did this, I installed the diamond ui mod only (it automatically installed the theme) and I got the diamond theme back. |

I am pretty sure it isn't a bug but rather the fact they have no way of knowing the length of a dvd title since it contains more than one chapter etc.

In the properties file for the movie, there is a RunningTime field. I'm assuming they are using this field to display the duration, not the actual length of the movie. Also, they do show the correct duration for bds. The duration is only missing on dvds.

Not a bug but just something that seems odd to me.
For the Options menu when you want to turn Fanart ON you click the button that reads "FanartOff" and when you want to turn it off, you click the button that reads "ShowFanart". I'm smart enough to figure it out but, isn't this backwards??? |

Just as long as you realize the label on the button indicates its current status. It's like when your light switch is off it is in the position that shows it is off. So it's not really backwards if you understand the purpose of the label. If the button said only "off" or "on" it would be easier to see it is correct.

Agreed. And in your example that button label is an action label. It tells what the button is going to do. And there is no reason for the label to change. There are various examples in Sage where the button label is used as a status label. Its purpose is twofold. It tells what state the button is in and performs the state change. All depends on the UI Designer, their philosophy and what they feel is more important to display. Not big deal at all.

I'm with Gerry on this. It is a label and an action. The label shows the current status, you click the button to make the state change. My one criticism would be the label itself. Using the same format standard convention would be helpful: "Fanart On" and "Fanart Off". That would also get away from action words like "Show" and "Hide"... which may confuse people because they are actions and think that pressing that button will perform that action (as opposed to states like on or off).

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing this. Finally had a chance to load it up, looks fantastic!
I know it's a simple thing, but I love the way the arrows "move" when you change focus on the main menu - brilliant! |

I think those are listed in the Help menu in the Setup menu.

The Red Tv with the ! is just a refresh of the recording conflict icon that is normally a white outlined TV filled with yellow and a red !. I guess I could do a cheat sheat but these are all listed on the SETUP/HELP/VIEW MENU HEADER INFORMATION screen and the SETUP/HELP/VIEW TV INDICATORS AND MARKERS screen. PS - I know the weather icon is broken in the VIEW MENU HEADER INFORMATION screen and will fix with next release. I messed it up when I modded the header. Cheers, Jeremy EDIT - Looks like I'm too slow to the draw, nice to have all the help. |

Cool. Thanks guys. I'll check it out.
One other thing, I noticed your time bar to be darker than the standard v7 time bar. most watch stuff when they have captions or CC or ticker bars are normally at the bottom of the screen. So, when I pause I have to wait for the time bar to disappear to read it (I know there is a setting where I can set when it disappears but right now I have it at 3sec). Is there a way to have either have the time bar on top and then info on the bottom. or have a thiner time bar (without the volume slide) on the bottom? PS I have the same problem with the standard V7 ui.
