to be 100% correct.... the UI is rendered at 1280x720 (hd300 with latest firmware) or 1024x576 (hd100, hd200, and hd300 with early firmware). However, the extender is still outputting a video signal that is whatever your default resolution set is (720p, 1080i, 1080p). The hd300 scales the rendered UI resolution to be whatever the output resolution is.

The UI is rendered internally at 720p, but it does get scaled up or down to whatever the display resolution is.

I just didn't want Jeremy to lock in on a fix that was only good for lower resolutions (if that's even possible).

I am with you know. The lower resolutions (hd200 and hd300 old) are usually the issue. Usually the 1280x720 is easier to render. I think Jeremy has found the issue. It doesn't appear to show up on our tv's which is a bit odd.

Looks really nice. Curious question (taking into account that I have, up to this point, not installed Phoenix or SMM, and this could be an issue with them)… in the “Videos by title” and the “Online” (showing “Science/Tech”) screen shots, why do some of the selections show title text and some not? Example, in the “Videos” shot, the “Veggie Tales”, “Wall-E”, and “X2” movies are showing title text, but the rest are not. Just curious why.

The Phoenix Fanart plugin hides the text if it has fanart for that item.

So those three that I mentioned do not have Phoenix fanart and it's just showing a "folder.jpg" cover art? Gotcha.

What about the online content?

What about online content? It would show the same if you are refering to playon stuff.

Sorry, I meant the screen shot in the OP (showing "Science/tech"). Are you saying that the entries which to not have title text showing are actually thumbnails that are in Phoenix Fanart? Does Phoenix Fanart include online podcast thumbnails?

Just as a reminder, please install the UI Mod and Theme by installing the Diamond UI Mod only.

The Diamond UI mod lists the Theme portion as a dependency and it will install automatically. After restarting the UI, when prompted , the theme will be automatically set to Diamond.

If you happen to install the theme first you will not have the needed UI mod installed automatically. You will need to go and install the Diamond UI Mod separately to get everything you need.

I can see that the theme has been downloaded separately at least a couple times as the download counts do not match. This may just be a coincidence but I don't want anyone stranded with half an install ;o)

Cheers,

Jeremy

Jorton, awesome looking theme....just one issue so far...the backdrops in the SMM folders view no longer show up..could it be an extension difference as it was before...icons as .png and backdrops .jpg...maybe that is why they don't show up? thanks for the great work..

Jeremy
I also like the count of watched/total.

Edit: One more thing. I use the Disk Space bar and the text on that also looks really big. I can't find a setting for that with the other Disk Space bar settings. Any help?

also i noticed in your screen shots that you have background fanart showing up for tv shows and guide listings..not just the picture above the info on the right but also the entire background of the screen has a poster/backdrop...how did you do that? also what are u using to get a black border around your dvd/BD listings that indicate whether it is a bluray or Dvd movie in SMM?

PS. just noticed that you can turn fanart on/off on almost every screen..is the way to turn this on everywhere, so that one doesn't have to do it individually on the guide, recorded shows, each subfolder of recorded shows and so forth?

There is no universal setting for fanart it is per screen as some don't want it on some screens.

The black border around the Diamond theme in smm is the black glass coverprofile for mymovies. You really should turn the glass covers off as well and it looks a bit cleaner The covers aren't meant for coverstyles much. There is a sticky in the SMM subforum on coverstyles and how to use/apply them.

Cheers

Actually I don't think it does if you native switching on but would have to double check that, regardless that doesn't make any difference in the UI problems Bialio was/is having it is a another issue. Although we didn't change that from the default but I think Jorton managed to fix it hopefully.

got black glass coverstyles working...this is just looking absolutely Pimped out!! makes me almost want to get a low heat/noise/profile client HTPC so that it can run as blazing fast as my core 2 quad client in the office...oh well..everytime i think of doing that i remember codec hell and enjoy the plug and play convenience of my hd300...
one day i will look for threads on building the perfect client PC...when i have no other sagetv software to tweak and break

Plucky, i agree...Jorton, is there a fanart on/off option for the recording schedule screen? have not been able to find it with the options menu as I could with most of the other screens? also, for recorded shows/guide shows that don't have fanart and backdrops, is it just a matter of time before BMT fetches stuff? or is there an option to search for missing fanart via the options menu?

Beta Diamond STVi and Theme V1.07 have been updated in the repository.

You only need to update the UI Mod (like the install) as the updated Theme is a dependancy and will update to the correct version automatically.

This addresses the OSD scaling issue some has on extenders (I hope)

Fanart BG code has not been added to the Recording Schedule screens (yet)

Only Recordings (all levels), Videos (all levels) and the EPG and EPG Program Details screens.
