Is there a file size limit for Sage to play?

The only video my HD200 won't play is Avatar. I am wondering if the size of the file is too large. It is almost 44 gigs. It is also a m2ts file format, but I can play many other m2ts files.

By the way. Total Media Theater plays the file fine.

There shouldn't be. Anything on the file system should be fair game. I don't have anything quite that big ripped but my extenders haven't had any trouble with even ~40GB files.

During the Olympics, I would often times record 4-6 hours worth of HD Mpeg2 streams that were near that size and they played back fine.

Well I wonder why it won't play on mine. Either the get the continuous blue turning circle, or it looks like it will start up, but the total time line at the bottom comes up with 0:00 and then it shuts down.

Any particular changes needed in the property files to get it to work?

Nope. Could it be a bad hard drive?

No other indications of a bad drive. All other movies play just fine. This is the only movie that does not.

I have the same issue, sometimes. Pull the plug on the HD200, and restart it. I've tried to get logs, but it doesn't work, the thing is locked up. I've had it time out before, but now it just locks up. It's rare, but it's usually on Avatar.

Well I used to have weird issues, blue turning circle, freezing etc. I would unplug the hd200 and all would be better for a while. Long story short, I ended up switching to a WD Black drive. No more issues. So if your weird issues continue, I would suggest not to mess with it and get yourself a WD Black drive.
