Ortus Core Services
So I happened to see this plugin today and installed it. It looks like it does the metadata lookup like BMT, only it seems to work better. I'm thinking of uninstalling BMT now that this is available and seems to work well. I'm guessing there may be a conflict as I can't get this to scan old recordings. Any help resolving this so I can leave BMT for good?

Does it actually do anything? i figured it was really only in there because it was a dependency for the Trailers plugin.

Yeah, the back end is fully functional. From the Config for the plugin, you can turn on the auto metadata lookup, have it update sage info from the data if finds, and you can also kick off a full scan from that menu.
Make sure you set the fanart path for the plugin, because it can download alot of data. it uses the same fanart structure as bmt, so you can use the same path and the fanart that it downloads will be viewable using the Phoenix fanart plugin. Most of the data is loaded into a H2 database for use from the new Ortus STV, but the flag to update the sage data will populate the sage Wiz.bin data. That is not fully tested... If you use this, you may want to turn the debug logging up to trace and checkout the logs directory under the SageTV base directory, so you can see what it is doing... Thanks, Jeff |

It's working great for me, but every once in a while it shows the season and episode numbers as 999. I'm not complaining or anything. I just love that this has resolved the problems I've been having with BMT. Thanks for putting this out even if it's not in any way supported.
