Not importing new videos
I just had a minute to dig into this issue this morning, and I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on it...
I just noticed late this week that my new imported videos are not showing up in Sage. For example, new shows that I added to my library include Burn Notice, Eureka, Warehouse 13, etc. These folders are all in my import folders settings, and everything worked perfectly until (I think...) I upgraded to Sage 12. This morning I even completely removed my "TV Shows" import folder, then re-added it and did another full scan. All of the previous shows appeared, but not the ones that I added this week. It is all very bizarre... I have no clue why it would be doing this. Anyone have any suggestions? I turned on debugging and took a look, and it doesn't throw any errors at all - it just ignores these new shows. Very strange. It is also not limited to TV shows... I downloaded a couple of movies and videos, and those too are not appearing in my UI. BMT is grabbing the metadata PERFECTLY! Sage just isn't..... Help!

They are probably going into TV recordings. There is a BMT setting to move them to recordings its called Import TV Media Types as Recordings. Uncheck that and then retry. I had the same thing.

Thanks for the info - yes, I found that flag - it was obviously enabled as default in the new BMT 4.3, since I NEVER wanted to use that flag for anything. Now I have 99% of my TV shows (imported video) in my VIDEO folder (where I want them to be), and the rest are in the RECORDED TV folder.
I tried moving them out of my imported video folder (one that is scanned by Sage) and ran the refresh in BMT. Once that was done, I moved them back, ran the refresh again and they are NOT back to where I want them to be (Videos). They are still showing as "recorded TV". This is VERY inconvenient for me, and I have no idea what else I need to do to make them show up in my VIDEOS instead of TV. The more things change with Sage 7, and all the plugins, and things that are being changed as "defaults" because "that's what all the people want", the more I am starting to get "UN-IMPRESSED" with Sage 7. Is there an effective way to restore these some 20 shows BACK to their home in my "VIDEOS" folder?

I just moved the videos to another import directory and then did a rescan and then everything was good.

Move them out of the folder, and rescan. If you simple remove the folder itself, sage won't remove them from it's database, as it thinks just the storage drive is temporarily unavailable. You either need to move the files out of the folder (leaving the folder in place), and rescan, or move them out, and delete them from the recordings screen. then move them back into the library, and rescan, and they should be picked up.

That was a COMPLETE pain in the a** - but it worked. Thanks... I'll be checking that on any future updates that I make to the plugins.

My apologies here... I just rechecked the code, and sure enough, import as tv was enabled as true by default... that should not be the case, and I've fixed the code. Sorry about that

Thanks, Sean...
Being a developer myself, I leave stuff like that in from time to time as well! No worries here... just glad it's all figured out.
