Deleting Recorded TV Via Windows UI?

Am I abusing Sage's database by deleting RecordedTV files via the Windows UI instead of from SageTV's "Recordings" screen?

It seems to work ok - and it's a lot faster/easier for volume cleanup... but I can imagine that maybe I'm creating pointers to nowhere by doing it.

It should recover fine. It might take awhile before the wiz.bin is updated to reflect the fact the recording has been deleted, but it should eventually get in sync.

Deleting in windows will not update the database immediately, but it will be caught and handles the next time sage doesn't it's scan. (You can, if you choose, star the scan manually if you like, if you don't feel like waiting). It should not cause any extra load/problems in the database doing ti this way.
