VFS in Version 4.1.0

This morning I installed 4.1.0 in Sage7 and immediately got the following error: Error in VFS File: .\STVs\Phoenix\vfs\ext\bmt.xml; Failed to create IResourceFilter for org.jdna.sage.MissingMetadataFilter

Now when I go to the web gui I get errors whenever trying to scan any folders such as Missing Metadata orRecordings. It seems to work OK when I do the scan on one file at a time in the web GUI.

BTW, I can't find where to look up metadata in the Sage7 default UI.

BMT 4.1 was quietly released yesterday. It's a major upgrade for bmt and it should have automatically removed the file that you specified. The solution is to manually delete the file, .\STVs\Phoenix\vfs\ext\bmt.xml, and then restart sage.

When you upgraded to 4.1, did you upgrade to the bmtweb plugin or just the bmt plugin? When you upgrade the bmtweb plugin, it should have upgraded bmt to 4.1 and phoenix to 2.0 and sagex-apis to 7.0.11.0.

Actually I noticed a bug in the plugin manifest dependencies for the bmt plugins, so it's been upgraded to 4.1.1.

I actually restarted Sage earlier so the bmt.xml is gone and I'm not getting the error again. Unfortunately I still can't get folders to scan through the web ui. I'm also not seeing version 4.1.1.

I'll take a look at the web scanning tomorrow. It's not a feature that I use very often, so I can certainly see where it may be broken (although I know for certain it did work in at least one build in the 4.1 series)

OK, some progress. I've got 4.1.1 now, although it must have come from the Phoenix core update. Also the scanning works for individual shows in the web gui, just not for entire folders. Also, where is the ability to do on-demand metadata collection in Sage? I can't seem to find it.

I keep getting this error as well? Been going on for a few weeks. Started after some plugin updates. I upgraded everything to the latest versions of Sage and Plugins yesterday. (Although there was a new beta today)

Everything seems to work fine but the Red! is annoying.

Any ideas?

Are you running sage7 or sage6. Pretty much any bmt 4.x build in sage6 was never really finished... and I put my efforts into the 4.x builds for sage7. It was my intention to go back and make the 4.x builds work in sage6 as well, but sage7 offered a much better experience (code wise) for updating metadata. My recommendation, if you are using sage6... upgrade to sage7.

You can safely remove the \\STVs\\Phoenix\\vfs\\ext\\bmt.xml xml file. If you are running sage7, then just remove the bmt.xml file, since it's no longer used.

Just wanted to bring this thread up again, since I upgraded to SageTV v7 today from v6 and this issue still pops up. I don't know if there's a way to clean this file up automatically, but it could definitely cause some confusion as more people move from v6 to v7.
