Hauppauge 2250 IR Blaster

I have built a new machine and installed a new Hauppage 2250 in it to test Sage 7. I have everything working with the exception of getting SageTV to control the Happauge IR Blaster so I can use a set top box with S-Video. Everything seems to be configured correctly on both the Hauppage side and the SageTV side.

I can see video from the set top box on SageTV Just fine. If I open BlastCFG (Hauppauge Blaster config Application) on the SageTV Server and force channel changes with BlastCfg, they change on th set top box and on SageTV. However, if I try to change channels on the SageTV Gui, though the channel number changes in the sage display, it appears nothing gets sent to the blaster to actually make the box change channels so the channel being presented does not actually change.

SageTV recognized the blaster in the config options and loaded it fine. Are there any steps I have missed??? What will make this work??? Help......

Did you ever find solution

I realize this was an old post ... was there a resolution? I have the same problem now that I have had to go to STBs with Rogers Cable in Canada

Best regards, Dave Melnyk
