Redbox: Blu-ray rentals coming for $1.50

http://www.insideredbox.com/redbox-c....50-per-night/

I will probably still buy BDs of my very favorite movies, especially since I can find many at Costco for ~$15, but man a buck fifty is darn cheap. I kinda wonder if they will have problems keeping enough BDs in stock?

Good news. I will still keep my netflix membership, but will be nice to have the option to going to a nearby redbox for a movie.

I was of the understanding that Redbox had BR discs in some of their kiosks already. Further, I sent them an email some time ago stating I would gladly pay $2 a night to rent new release BRs from the two or three Redbox kiosks local to me. They responded saying that they will add my request to the growing number of other people asking for BRs, and that they already offered BR support on a –per area basis, but just not in my area.

Heck $1.50 is awesome compared to about $6 or $7 that the local Hollywood video store wanted (before it went out of business...)

I’ll too keep using Netflix, but would use a local Redbox now and then.
