The methods are the same in both versions. There are two ways: from the individual favorite's settings or by pressing the record button on a favorite selected in the list of favorites. See the first post for more detailed steps.

I get it now. I misread the first post in this thread. I thought it was saying that this plugin was no longer needed in v9.

I see the option to enable/disable after installing the plugin.

You need to be on 9.0.12 or greater and then the plugin is not needed..

jusjoken is correct. Although the methods for enabling/disabling favorites is the same, starting in version 9.0.12 this plugin is not needed because APIs were added to SageTV core to allow for this behavior.

That's preferable because now a favorite being disabled is something the core knows about and and react to, and I don't have to fake it by messing with the keywords of the favorite.
