Was that an upgrade from a previous version of SageTV, or a Clean install ??
And what is the version of the drivers you are using for the 2250 ??

It was an upgrade from version 6. Didn't have any problems there, either.

Will check my driver version when I'm home over the weekend. I believe I downloaded the latest versions from the Hauppage website.

can i ask what cable company, or how you feed your 2250?

My cable company is Comcast. I'm feeding it directly from the wall, not through a box at this point.

have you tried closed captions, just to see if they work?

No I haven't. Will try over the weekend if I have a chance, i.e. if it rains

I'm back ;-)

I tried setting up the system a few times and kept on having instability issues ...
I would run a memory test and no errors ... run another after reboot and then errors ... tried one DDR ... okay and then tried the other ... okay ... both ... not so okay ... played with it for a week and then RMA'd the memory ;-)

Note to self: Always run a few passes of the memory test first ;-) Don't forget next time ...

With the memory issues it took me a few installs to find out Windows 7 64bit did not like installing with an HVR-2250 in the system. (also IDE emulation NOT AHCI)

Once the fun stuff was sorted out ... I ran the test system for about a week ... watching most things on the test system ... then I tried to switch over fully.

Currently I have one PVR-500 (I am using for recording from my STB's via s-video) and four HVR-2250's connected to Shaw Cable working stably in my system ...

I installed the mcekit_setup.exe (2.0.48.25037) drivers for the PVR-500 and wintv7_cd_1.3e (7.6.27.27323) for the HVR-2250's

My roommate is laughing ... except for all the old tuner cards he's gotten ... He wants to get SageTV now ;-)
