1) When the show ends, it's "watched". You don't need to mark it manually.
2) This would be good, even if it just modified the standard pop-up and added "restart".

That's a good point!

But I still like the popup for auto-stopped programs.

Just to update, it's definitely the plugn. When I disable, the problem goes away, re-enable and it comes right back.

Since there havent been many issues with regard to this, I guess its logical to assume that there is something with my particular setup that is actually the root cause. Im running on a machine that hasn't been wiped clean an reinstalled since the v. 5 days. Its possible that there is some residual setting or file thats really to blame. Unfortunately, I dont have time to to a fresh install at the moment.

For recordings you can turn on a popup in Detailed Setup / Customize / Ask to delete recording at the end of playback.

Ok, turns out I was wrong. When I disable the plugin and reload the UI the problem goes away for a short time, but ultimately it comes back (hit stop, screen goes black and the circle of death comes on for up to sixty seconds). Oh well, at least I dont have to loose the multi-stop functionality.

This plug-in used to allow me to delete a file when I hit stop, but I don't get that option any more for recorded files. Is there any idea what could have changed to cause that option on the menu to go away?

Haven't got any ideas. Nothing's changed and it works fine for me.

What's the version of the plugin and your SageTV7.xml?

John

I had problems with with my wiz.bin getting corrupted, so last night I uninstalled everything, wiped it all clean and reinstalled everything. Right now, I have the latest beta (sagetv7.xml 7.0.15.0), and the latest version of the plug-in (1.8). I was hoping wiping everything would also fix this problem, but it didn't.

Here is some other info if it helps. I was on 7.0.12 when it stopped working. I didn't update the plug-in, one day it worked, the next day delete was missing.

When I say it doesn't work its only partly true. If I stop a playing media file I am presented with the option to delete it, but if I stop a TV recording I am not (which is the opposite of what I really want.)

Is there some other setting or something else that could have changed that would mark the recorded TV files and keep them from being deleted? Recorded TV files are still deletable from menu that pops up when you go to them.

If there is any other info I can dig up for you let me know.

I think I may have found a small bug in this plugin. If I press stop while watching a TV recording and select "Go to Main Menu" I am brought to the main menu, however, audio from the recording continues to play from that recording I was watching.

I noticed this once, recently, as well. But I don't recall ever seeing it before that, and I'm sure I used that button before...

Do you have Setup / Detailed Setup / Multimedia / Video Menu Options / Display Videos on Menus set to something other than "Never"?

Is it just me or did the "Delete" option in the menu that comes up when you press "stop" disappear with the new update?

On what type of file? Recording/Video/Archived Recording

Delete should be available on more things now, but it also does a check that "Allow Video Deletion" is checked in the Advanced Video Browser Options.

It is missing from my TV recordings. I also checked to see if it was there for archived recordings and it is not. I have the ability to delete video turned off so I don't expect to see it there.

John,

What happened to close file I thought it was part of multifunction stop... it doesn't appear at all in customize nor is it working? Also if I am watching a file if I hit stop and delete there is no option to "delete and set watched".

Sorry, somehow I started from the old base file. I've uploaded another build that should fix the regressions and include the updates.

Starting with 7.0b18 RC2 I've been having issues with the plug-in. Hitting "stop" twice sometimes puts the GUI into limbo. The playback stops but I end up with a blank screen and it doesn't return to the Sage menus unless I hit back or home specifically. This is on a HD300 extender.
