How and what to backup?

Just saw bialo's post about 'now what' and the suggestion that he possible restore from backups.

Is there a sage add on or script or something that backups the critical files? and what are these critical files? is it still just wiz.bin and sage.properties and client.properties?

out of curiosity what do you all use to back up your sage servers? I am install acronis home 2010... haven't yet but planning on it.

With the new beta and trying everything (well most everything, i can't help myself!) I am pretty sure I should be vigilante and back it up... would be nice to have an automated solution though.

I use StorageCraft ShadowProtect disk imaging software. I've used other imaging software in the past but I've found ShadowProtect to be the most reliable. There have been many times when it has saved me from spending hours troubleshooting a problem. When something is not working right on my computer I simply restore an image of the C: partition to a time when the computer was working correctly. My user data is stored on a different parition so it is not affected when restoring the operating system. If I need just few files I mount the image and copy the needed files.

Why pick and choose? Back up the whole directory, or the whole disk. Disk space is cheap, and nobody ever regretted backing up more than they needed.
