How do I rename a DVD and add descriptions?
Hi all,
I have the DVD artwork sorted out (I think? It may have been imported from my v6 switchover?) BUT -- it seems the descriptions of a DVD in the IMDB and the ability to change the DVD title have gone somewhere I can't find them? I'm so used to SageMC 6.3.9a that I totally forgot the "stock" location for changing things. I'll keep poking and if I find out what or where it is, I will report back but, until then, has anyone done it? Basically, I have Avatar DVD ripped in as AVATAR/VIDEO_TS but it has only the DVD artwork, no plot summary (not like I need one, but still ...), there is no category, no actor info, and the name of the video folder is AVATAR in all caps .. What I would like is the folder to be named "Avatar" [is that just me renaming it in Windows?] and for some basic plot info to be displayed in the BD/DVD folder window. SageMC used to do that but I don't know if it was stock or an add-on ... In SageTV v7, which plugins or add-ons will I need to either automatically or manually fill in the info from IMDB or elsewhere? Cheers! |

Just as I suspected .. it's there with an STVi .. I just had to wait for the system to refresh (I set it for 1 hour)
Now all is how I need it to be, yay! Thanks SageTV and all you crazy devs! Shame there's no password protection for folders though .. or IS there? |

Well OK here's another fly in the ointment ---
I have a few ripped DVDs with weird titles ("DAYTHEEARTH_THX_SIDE1" which, when I click on 'get fan art' it won't even give me the time of day. Also, I can't manually select from a list. For example with other DVD's it would give me a close match. I guess my $2 solution would just be to change the DVD folder name to something "close" to what I'm looking up ["DAY_THE_EARTH_SIDE1" for example] but that is not optimal .. Still looking for a manual entry option - am I just not clicking the right way? Cheers |

When you rip a dvd you are suppose to give the folder the actual title of the movie. With BMT you should be able to type in the correct name of the movie when searching for the metadata and BMT will save the title correctly.
