Unhappy Win7 64bit - unsigned drivers

Hello I have a Creative Modem Blaster V.92 usb DE5671-1 which has 64 bit drivers for vista but not WIN7. I installed the vista but they are unsigned drivers.
Quote:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
Is there a way to make this work? Are there generic drivers which will make it work. I heard at startup you can make it work by disabling the drivers signauth but you have to do it each time you start the computer.

@#&%ing Microsoft!

I had the same problem with a USB to serial adapter for my DirecTV channel changing.

This utility worked for me.

Thanks. I'm going to give it a try. The only issue I had when installing the vista 64 driver, was I gotten the blue screen of death (windows has fixed that yet!!!). and my computer rebooted. I hope the driver installed correctly (i think I did cuz i do see the driver loaded).

You should be able to hit F8 during bootup. This will take you to the Advanced Boot Options. From there you should be able to choose the Disable Drive Signature Enforcement which will allow you to install unsigned drivers into Windows 7. Worked for me during the Beta version, but I have switched to OSX, so I haven't tried it in awhile....

I had a failure on the drivers installation from the driver installation program. Is there anything else I can try? I just want the caller ID function for SAGE.

Your best option is to look for windows 7 modem compatibility

Reboot windows, when you see the progress bar, hit F8(just like going to safe mode) From the safe mode menu pick the option to disable driver signing checks, or whatever it is, it's obvious. Once windows finishes starting, install the driver. You can reboot as normal after that, no need to disable it every time you boot. I couldn't use third party tools to install an unsigned driver, but the safe mode thing always seems to work.
