Lots of part recorded files in my video folder
I usually create the odd dvd from my recordings, while i was creating a dvd from a recording i noticed that ther are lots and lots of part recorded files in my video folder
i have a few questions regarding these files; 1, This seems like a waste of disk space and explains why my disk is 1/2 full even though i only have a few full recordings. Can sagetv be set to remove these automatically? 2, how do ppl housekeep these files I would expect when i go into the video folder to see my recordings, i can see no reason to see part recordings that cannot be accessed from sagetv ui anyway |

Are these LiveTV snippets? If so, they should get deleted when you exit (not sleep) SageTV -- not my favorite way of dealing with LiveTV pieces, but that's what currently happens, unless...
Do you have Intelligent Recording off? If so, all non-favorite & non-manual recordings are supposed to be deleted immediately. That also is not my favorite way of dealing with the recodings either, but maybe it will be tweaked later. If these aren't LiveTV snippets, can you give more info on them? Are they parts of one recording that has been broken into many small pieces, instead? - Andy
