No, Phoenix doesn't support that level.

Couldn't hold off any longer, installed the RC (I used to use every beta that came out, same day...a wife killed that plan ) Any way, I used Tiki's Fan Art for version 6 and liked the "Banners" that it put up near the descriptions when in Recordings or browsing the Guide. I can't see banners being used anywhere in v7 w/Phoenix FA? BMT downloads the banners for sure...am I missing something? Also, the Backgrounds in detailed view, no joy either...is this a future feature? Thanks, I'm still getting up to speed with all the new stuff...I hadn't touched v6 in years, it just worked.

Hats off to the coders of BMT, Phoenix FA, and Jetty...all this stuff just worked right from the Plug-In Manager (for the most part) and to Sage too, love v7.

OT: No channel logos in Recorded TV list? Come on guys...you know how much reading I have to do now?...

No banners as there isn't a place in the V7 UI that would utilize banners. This plugin just takes the stock V7 UI and uses phoenix fanart instead of Sage's default "Screenshot" - it doesn't add full screen fanart backgrounds or use banners at all.

There are a few spots where the default UI's art is used still - I think Detailed view is one of those. But I don't have any plans to add anything there.

I never said you weren't messing anything up!

I might update this plugin one more time to put music fanart and banner support in, but I'm more focused on the Real Phoenix right now than this small taste.

*IF* you do one more update, would it be possible to include stripping out the filename display when showing the images in the 'wall' format?

Thanks

To get the 'Movie Wall Light' that is mentioned at the top of this thread, you simply set your videos display to 5 Columns and 3 Rows. (Hit ESC, or whatever is configured as your 'options' button to bring up the menu options).

I am still getting the circle of significant waiting both in TV Recordings and Movies as I scroll. My system has 2 2Tb drives for TV recording, 1 2TB for movies, and 500gb for FanArt and other stuff. I've optimized the fanart and the defrag'd the drives. As you can see on my signature, pretty fast system.

Any thoughts to have nice consistent scrolling? Is this a Sage bug?

Do you have it set up as a list or as a grid (ie wall) in your Recordings and Movies screens? This is just a single machine that you have set up connected to the TV?

Movies are in a grid - I liked the mini-wall approach. The first page of the display is quick. As I scroll down bringing more movies onto the page, it gets slow. The TV recordings are grouped by show. As I scroll group to group, the first 4-5 groups are fine, then each subsuquent group is painfully slow. Far slower than movies.

Yes, a Vista system directly connected to my TV. I am not using it as a server today.

I'm seeing the same thing and pretty much have been for quite a while. It is to the point that to view videos either in "folder" view or even in the "DVD" view is pretty much unusable. It used to be lightning fast but now is to the point to where I have to wait forever to get to the bottom of the list or even just scroll one movie up or down or side to side. I only have a couple hundred or so videos in there too. I too am using the mini wall view. I thought it happened around the time I messed with the default values for the image sizes in BMT. However, I went back to the default values several weeks ago and am seeing no changes. I even deleted all the cache images and items in the folders so all images were "redownloaded" from scratch and this didn't help. This behavior started long before MyMovies started to do some of the integration too so I don't think it is related to MyMovies.

I am not sure but I'm beginning to wonder if I'm not seeing some conflicts or "fighting" with all the plugins I have loaded. I have the BMT, Pheonix, Ortus, etc plugins all running. I noticed the other day when I put the movie "Ca$h" on the hard drive that in the mini wall view it grabbed the data for the wrong "Cash" movie. Both the DVD cover, short description, and fanart were for the 2007 Cash movie. But, what is really weird here is that when I select it and hit Play and the movie starts, the small icon in the upper left hand of the screen shows the icon for the correct movie... the 2010 Ca$h movie???? Not sure how that is possible but makes me think (possibly incorrectly?) that the circle of death we are seeing may be being caused by a little fighting between the different data collectors? No idea but throwing that out there

If anybody wants more data or needs me to try some different things to test, just let me know. Thanks!

Yep...that's why I mentioned that this issue was happening prior to you even beginning to integrate MyMovies into the other areas

My java heap setting is something over 700 (not at the computer now). I have both the 'bar' plugins installed to show the java stuff and processor useage. The java bar is normally not even half way up the bar. The processor bar is normally all green but goes to full yellow when the circle of death comes up. I have 2 gig of ram and a decent processor. MyMovies scrolls pretty fast with over 2000 movies in the database. The "stock" SageTV videos stuff used to scroll very fast as well but then just came to a crawl so I don't think it is related to my hardware.

I'd try disabling the plugins one at a time and see what that does. Will help you narrow down what might be causing issues.

I see delays sometimes but never to the point that it's unusable.

Thanks, bialio. I have some time off work coming up and will give it a shot. I've even tried rebooting the HTPC and the first thing I do is go into videos and I still see the same behavior. I'll post back if I find anything. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, how did you get the time-bar to not appear with the fanart? In my case a time-bar always appears in the thumbnail/fanart for TV recordings, and I can't find a setting to turn that off.

Changing displayed poster image

This may be the silliest question ever but I just can't find it searching, nor could I find a way playing around with SageTV for the last 3 hours.

One of my movies, "Law Abiding Citizen", shows up with an international poster. Looking inside the fanart\posters directory for this movie, it has downloaded 5 jpg files.

How do I get the specific poster that I want shown in the "Videos By Title" section of SageTV?

I tried renaming the foreign poster to a non .jpg extension, but that didn't work. Fair enough the cache might be taking over....

Is there an easy way through the GUI to select the specific poster I want displayed?
