Hi,
Just a simple question as I read good chunk of this thread without finding the answer. I remember that in V6 with SageMC, there was a way to "force" a lookup for fanart and description, both for recordings and videos. Now, with V7 and this plugin, I don't see this. I have the FanArt working when a new show is recorded but I don't seems to find a way to force a lookup for DVD that I'm importing or for show that didn't worked. As I just added some DVD into DVD Profiler and configured this as a valid source for fanart lookup, I was hoping to get the fanart from there for a few DVD but without success. Is there a way to do that without installing the BMT web gui? As a second point, I have the same issue as some reported where configuring the movie wall (5x3) is always showing the title below the image. The plugin is at version 0.1.9. Has this been resolved and documented in a post of this thread? Thank you. ehfortin |

You have to use the BMT webgui. No one created a STVI plugin for BMT functions within SageTV 7.

Hey,
If you install the Phoenix Fanart for Malore V7 plugin there are some metadata/fanart options in the in the pop up menus, they seem to work to lookup metadata (based on current file name, no option to type it in though) and view backgrounds/posters/banners etc still. This plugin also adds a sub menu in settings for Fanart but some of the options don't work (I think, haven't tried them all). It works to some extent, don't know if it was meant to but it does. Seems to all work for Videos and DVD/BD (just checked). BMT really is a lot more powerful to use though. Maybe tmiranda/Tiki or Stuckless can verify this all still works with the current BMT/Phoenix etc... Jeremy Last edited by jorton; 11-09-2010 at 09:24 AM. |

I haven't updated the plugin to be compatible with recent phoenix fanart changes so I can't say if it will work or not.

Jeremy, just so that I understand, is this something that you've added to the malore menus using the phoenix apis? If so, then there have been some restructuring to the apis, but I'm not sure how it would impact this plugin or not. If PM me, with some specific questions, then I can probably help you out, if you are just trying to understand what is there, and how you can use it, etc.

I was more curious if the Metadata/Fanart options that were ported over from V6 in this plugin are still compatible with your latest API and BMT etc.. in V7 and won't cause any problems etc. Sorry, just realized my screen shots could be missleading with the Diamond theme shown. Jeremy |

Hi,
I am using the Phoenix Fanart for SageTV V7 pluggin. In "My recordings", the image on the right hand side is replaced with a background picture from bmc. Is there a way to have the background picture displayed in the background instead of right hand side, and the poster picture to be displayed on the right hand side instead ?

Client, no fanart...
Strange, got the fanart working on the server. It works on an extender, on linux...but can't seem to see it on the client machine...
Any Ideas? |

You need to make sure the client machine knows where to look for the fanart - basically it needs a pointer to your central fanart folder.
Hopefully that folder is on a network share somewhere.

Yup, I'm gonna have to move the folder then. Windows 7 does everything to prevent clients from looking at the root drive even over a trusted network, and the folder is c:\program files\sagetv\sagetv.
What do I need to change in BMT to make it re-download the art into the new folder? Thanks |

Performance issue when browsing fanart video folders.
Hi !
I have a issue with really slow performance when browsing my video librarys if i have fanart enabled. I have run out of ideas on where to look. 20h+ searching for the problem. I can se in the log that something hangs when pressing page down to see the next couple of movies. Anyone got an ide of why that is? Code:

I see very much the same as you. When I go into a video folder, I can go down fast for the videos that are displaying on the screen when it first comes up. However, as soon as I go one more row down then it is extremely slow. I talked about it a little here...
http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...eos#post454134 Not sure what is causing this though so will keep an eye on this and see if a solution crops up |

I'm having what seems like an identical issue. What's the location and file that you pulled that info from?

I think I found the right log file (phoenix.log, right?), but I don't see the same thing. Here's what I'm seeing, though:
