Firewire (for channel change) and 64 bit - is it possible?

I am thinking of upgrading some of my hardware and going to a 64 bit OS in the near future but the one concern is that I use firewire for channel changing for two HD boxes (both SA3250HDs) connected to HD-PVRs.

It is my understanding that the Tim M Moore firewire drivers which included the channel.exe application which facilitates channel changing will not work on 64 bit OSes. Is that correct? Is there another driver/application that will facilitate channel changes on 64 bit OSes.

Currently there isn't any 64bit drivers. There have been a couple of projects to try to write them, but they always seem to fall through.

My understanding is 32bit only. That is the #1 reason I installed my Windows 7 Server as 32bit.

I can't think of a single reason a Sage Server needs to be 64-bit anyway, unless you use the box for something else.

That may be true but the next version of WHS (which is now in beta) is 64 bit and eventually we will be moving to 64 bit OSes anyhow so why not do it now. And perhaps 64 bit and having more memory would help if you were Comskipping a couple of H.264 files?
