ff & rw through commercials hangs on USA and SYFY
This is weird, and so far I've only found it happen on recording from SYFY & USA (which are both USA-owned). At some point one of the commercial breaks will run a local commercial as the last one in the break. I ff through the break, jump past a bit into the show, then rw to get to the end of the break. No matter whether I hit it dead on at the separation between commercial break and show, or go back into the local commercial a bit then just let the show run, what happens is that the show's audio starts but the video is paused on the commercial. The only thing that lets me watch the show is to stop playback and restart it from that point.
I have Comcast, live in the Pittsburgh area, using default video renderer, SageTV MPEG video decoder, no hardware acceleration, directshow MPEG4 playback, default H.264 video decoder filter, no DScaler deinterlacing filters, default audio renderer, SageTV MPEG audio decoder, and 0 audio playback delay. I'm on the trial version and haven't really a clue what to start changing to see if I can make this stop. I know that I won't be able to sell Sage to my husband to replace our Comcast DVR if I can't get rid of some of these "little annoyances." Can anyone suggest what to do? I could try all the permutations of the audio and video options in the setup menu, but by my calculations that would be upwards of 10,000 different setups, so I'd like a "most likely" place to begin, please.

sorry. I'm new at this and assumed that was implied by indicating Comcast and digital, but you know what they say about folks who assume.
coax, Comcast digital, and these are digital clear QAM channels from Comcast. Both tuners are set the same, so there are no ota channels, just the Comcast. It's also happening on A&E under the same circumstances, but not, so far, on my local HD network affiliate stations. Looks like NBC Universal owns or partly owns all three "problem channels" but that may be a coincidence as I've not watched recordings from any other channels with commercials in the half-dozen days since I set this trial up.
