Comskip Duration Correction

Any way we can get this comskip modification added to SageMC? Its purpose is to correct the duration of recordings so that the edl files will be accurate. Currently SageTV corrects the duration and as a result the commercial breaks can be off by up to several seconds. This works perfectly in the default STV but would be nice to add to SageMC.

I personally can wait for the V7 beta to get this. Other MC devs might be willing though!

Sorry I didn't include this in the first post but here is the link to the modifications if anyone is interested in tackling it.

If i get some free time, I'll get SageMC and take a look.. I'm not sure how similar the comskip code is to the original.. if it's similar, the changes wouldn't be too hard. not sure how to roll them out though.

Just load up the latest SageMC release, make your changes, then create a UID diff in Studio and generate an STVi from there. Then you'll basically have a 'patch' for the latest SageMC version that people can install if they want it.

btl.

Yeah, I had figured that was it. Thought there was a bit of a difference in the way SageMC handled STVi's.

I think they are a little different. SageMC STVi's have an XML extension.
