MediaMVP Mod for Sage?

All-

Here is a link to the latest version of the MediaMVP frontend for BTV. I have been part of the users who have been messing around with 'porting' this for greater ease of use.

As part of the process, several of the members have basically imported a BTV theme and added the ability to view the EPG and Live TV from within the MVP.

I know that with the support of this group, we can mod this to work similiarly with Sage.

Any takers? :-)

link removed...

How? BeyondTV uses a buffer that always has the same name for LiveTV. SageTV names it file with the name of the program so it changes with every channel change. It's not going to work the same way BTV MVP mod works. And how will you get any epg listings out of the wiz.bin file?

I bet when studio comes out this could be tackled.

Studio is not going to address this issue. Not the way they currently do the mod to work with BTV. What could work is the way GB-PVR does it and that is replace the MVP server with one of it's own. The MVP server uses the VNC protocol which is basically giving you a VNC session at the MVP. It looks like GB-PVR is already doing this. Sage should be able to accomplish this too.
