Dvico HDTV7 Dual Express not recognized
Bought a new Dvico HDTV7 Dual Express tuner card. One turner is recognized by SageTV but doens't tune properly. All .1 channels are showing channel 2.1 and all .2 channels are showing 4.2. All .3 channels are showing 13.3. It looks like it changes channels but the same show is being played. The tuners work properly in Dvico's Fusion software. Two other tuners are working properly in SageTV, a HDTV5 Gold and HDTV5 Express.
I suspect that clearing all my tuners and starting fresh will fix my issue, I just don't know how to kill and then get SageTV to recognize the tuners again. |

I made the same mistake when I was first setting up SageTV. Give it up now. You will get the first tuner to work eventually, but you'll never get the 2nd one to work because it's simply not supported by SageTV.

I've given up. Sage and you folks both said it's not supported. I can't get the first tuner to work correctly. So I'm going ot hold my breath for SageTV V7. Hope it supports at least one and preferably both.
Problem I have with the one is that it is recognized but it won't tune properly. Once it tunes a .1 channel all the .1 channels are the same. Once it tunes a .2 channel, all the .2 channels are the same. etc. |

I hope they support this in v7. I am planning a move from WinMC to SageTV and this is my current tuner card -- I actually upgraded to this from a reasonably functioning Haupppauge card, dropping a lot of $ on it, because I wanted the dual tuners & moreso because its widely recognized that the Dvico card uses a better chipset that has the best of breed OTA tuner performance.
It would be sad if SageTV can't support the Cadillac of internal dual OTA tuners So ... a second vote for support of this! |
