That does not seem to help.

Could it be the copy I have is corrupt? It has been sitting in my drop box folder. How do I get a fresh copy of this?

Were you able to doo all the steps or did it crash along the way?

By definition DropBox gets you the latest version... I've installed that version on my Nexus 7 and connected just fine on your server, so I don't know why it's not working for you.

You might be able to generate a crash log by enabling the developer mode on your device and holding the Power button, or by doing this:

Code:
Press and hold the buttons in the following order:

Volume Down, then Volume Up, then Power Key.

Keep them pressed for a while and then release.
After a while email should appear.

Tried this

Quote:
Try switching to airplane mode, this way it won't be getting new data. After the wipe, close the app, switch off airplane mode and relaunch the app.
After doing this I then opened the app. then selected tv then selected program guide and got the message Unfortunatley, TaSageTv has stopped. I restarted it a second time and it did not give me and error, but on the guide page the boxes goto X's and no guide data.

Tried this several times and all this does is turn the screen off

Is there any ports in the android os that needs set?
This is android version 4.1.2
Is there anything with AT&T 4G network that needs changed in the setup?

Quote:

Are you using 4G?
It seems strange I could not make it work on my new 4G phone from Verizon ( That I took back ) and now cannot make it work on my new phone from 4G AT&T. I tried to see if I could take this new phone back to a 3G signal, but it appears to be locked on the setting it is on.

One other thing that came to mind, is this app tied in anyway to text messaging? I do not do texting and I do not have that as part of my plan. I am sure it is not, but thought it was worth asking.

Thanks
Wayne

That was over wifi. Since you are getting data over the connected port, that port is obviously OK...

I'll try to look some more at the incoming channel list, as that seems to be where your issue was.

FYI not sure if this helps any or not.
Just tried using the remote control. Once again as long as I am on wifi it works. When I go back to phone signal it also does the same thing and does not work.

Are you reconnecting to the Server AND Client when you switch like that? As I'm not sure how good the app is at catching those transitions...

Not sure what you mean by reconecting. I am restarting the app everytime I try something as that is the only way I can get the 2 boxes to show the antennas. If I don't restart the app it will not reconnect on either one.

Now I just tried something different, If I touch either antenna box and select that server or client I can bring the antennas back on, either one without closing the app. But as soon as I select program guide I go back to the x's again.

Now I just tried having the program quide open with no data and touching the 2 antenna boxes and selecting the client and server and then selecting a different channel and I got guide data. But when I select that channel to record the antennas go back to x's. So I went ahead and tapped each x box and they went back to the antennas, I could then initiate a recording

It appears what ever window I have open will work if I tap each box and get the antennas showing again.

Another thing I just stumbled accross is under settings and wondered about. Called profile. I am guessing these are different connection setting's, I am setting on default. Does any of these matter since I see 3G listed on a couple with others listed and no 4G?

This is related to the VLC streaming, so it wouldn't affect your connection issue.

Since the log app didn't provide any usefull information, try to enable the Developer mode on your device (settings -> about phone ->tap build number 7 times), then go to the Developer options and enable the bug reporting (holding the Power button shows it).

Is this the build number you want me to tap on? I had to go about>software information>more build number. Can't really tell that it does anythig when I tap on it.

Then I am not sure what to turn on for debugging.

I'm not seeing it there, but try the advanced options, maybe it's in there.

I guess it might depend on the manufacturer or it's only in Android 4.2 that they added the but report function, oh well.

I do only have 2 bars showing for signal strenght. Any ideas what to look for or why this is happening? Forgot to say this is on verizon 4 G.
Thanks
Wayne

Forgot to add this is on android 4.1.1
I ended up taking that phone back and ultimately switching to AT&T where i am now. So with my old droid phone it worked untill I done a 4g upgrade and then did not work. I switched to AT&T with 4g and it does the same thing. Are there other users of this app using 4g ? In the app is there anything that tells it what data stream or what ever protocal to comumicate over?
I also went out to our local fire station ( as I am a member) and jumped on our wireless out there and the app worked fine as I believe you said you tried also.
Sorry to bother you again, but I used this app a lot would like to get it back working. I relize without a logger this is going to be difficult.

Sorry, my bad, there was indeed an issue with 4g connections. Try this version.

That appears to have fixed the problem. I can do any of the recording I want and it stays connected. I had to download your file and put it into my drop box and get it from there on the phone.
Thanks
