Well the "Stream" option sort of works, but theres nothing that can open it. The other two mirage streams dont appear to do anything at all.

Added a link to a video in the first post, which is also the updated version on the wiki.

Version 1.75

- Built against Android OS 3.1 (compatible down to 1.5).

Version 1.74

- Prevent the keyboard from displaying without an actual edit.

Instead of compiling against Android OS 2.2, now I am doing it with 3.1... So it should be better on the newer tablets running 3.0 or 3.1. As a side effect, maybe it will help with the non-VLC streaming, but don't get your hopes up... I would like some feedback, even if it's just to say that you don't see any difference...

FYI, Marginally better with Mirage, if at all, plays nice for a bit then goes into stutter mode, much as before. Mirage low is smooth but a tad pixelated on a tablet. (2.2, gt)

OK, so I guess it's worth exposing the other bit rates, if the variant playlist isn't doing too good...

Version 1.76

- Exposed all the individual bit rates for the Mirage beta streaming.

Play music playlist on extender/client

Hello,

I've just started playing with the Android app. One of the main features I am looking for is the ability to pick music from the app and them have it play on an extender/client. This way I could be outside listening to music without having to be in front of the TV to see what I'm selecting.

From what I've found so far this should be possible with the android app. One area I am unsure of however is playlists. While I can pick individual songs and have them play through the extender this doesn't seem to work for playlists. I can see all my playlists but nothing happens when I either tap on a song in the playlist list or bring up the menu and select play.

Has anyone else been able to get playlists to work through an extender? Do I need to buy the app in order to enable this feature?

You might need to select a playlist before adding to it, though you should be able to check after to see if your songs were really added. Playlists can't mix music and videos... You did hit the "start the playlist", not just play, right? Did you make sure the proper extender was being monitored?

Version 1.77

- First pass at making the app more tablet-friendly...

I finally bought a cheap tablet (Velocity Micro Cruz T301), so I realized that things were not scaling the way I was expecting... I've changed some things around, so let me know if you see anything odd...

Not sure what changes Id expect to see! Looks the same to me! (running 1.77 on 3.0.1 on Asus TRansformer with 10.1 inch screen))

The only change Ive found is theres no menu anymore so I cant play things back or add and remove servers !

Main difference I see is that all text just got bigger. Album view in landscape now cuts off the lower screen so you cannot see the content of the individual album. Turning it to portrait allows access to the top line or two from which you can scroll, but it is awkward.

If you check the recording list and its detailed view, it should be different...

Hmm, that's one of the thing I was trying to fix, but I guess I somehow made it worse... Was it actually working before?

Right, that was one of the goal. Was the previous size better?

Right, I need to handle the landscape view better for those albums.

True this does seem to have changed.

Going back from detail of a recording still Force closes everytime though.

And that was related to the title bar too...

At a first glance, I can't seem to find what I changed to break it, but I'll keep looking.

Hmm, that's strange, does the keyboard work for other things, like say entering text for a TaSageTV search?

Yes the keyboard works for entering text for searches. Hmm! Cant get it to find anything, but Im running the trial version still.

No program guide either (dont remember if it worked before unfortunately) Ive got the two pulldown menus for lineup and channel, but dont get any data.

Of course I cant sync any data manually so if it doesnt automatically update I wont be able to find anything.

That wouldn't prevent the search from working...

Could be related to the XMLTV data you are using or such, which might be the cause of other issues too... Try going to Settings and hitting the "Wipe database" button. If you still don't have those pulldown filled, attached your sagetv_0.txt and Android log, I'll have a look.
