Possible Odd Recording Bug

I'm running the RC beta that was just released, and I found a very odd thing today. I have a favorite listed for a show called Most Extreme Elimination Challenege, no auto-delete and keep all. This is on a 120 Gig HD, and the drive as of last nite had 15 gigs of recordings, so still plenty of room left to record. Well, SpikeTV has been announcing that Most Extreme Elimination Challenge was being renamed just MXC. And that the new season was starting this next week.

Today I decide to check the upcoming schedule, and notice that there's no Most Extremes set to record, so I figure I might as well add a new favorite (leaving the old one, just in case) to add a search for MXC, of which it found the new name, and added many upcoming events, since the old re-runs have been retitled, too.

Here's the odd part. I go to my recording and NONE of the Most Extremes are listed. I go to Windows Explorer and check the folder, and sure enough, every Most Extreme video file is gone. They were not marked Watched, or Deleted, and they were not archived. They are gone gone gone. About 9 of them.

The only thing I can think, is that somehow the Sage found that Most Extreme was not coming on anymore and trashed the already recorded shows. Is this possible?

Check the LiveTV guide in SageTV & scroll back in time to when those shows were originally aired... has the name there changed to MXC? If so, SageTV probably saw that the show title does not match the recording title & automatically marked then as "recording errors", then deleted them.

I had a similar problem with my recordings being deleted, but for a different reason. After I "de-commerialize" I program I want to burn, I replace the original recording with the "de-commeralized" one to save space. This used to not be a problem with Sage, but now the new "All knowing and powerful" Sage says "Removing MediaFile because it failed verification...Deleted media segment file...Seeker clearing unwanted and partial files".

Sage used to put stuff in the errant directory and they even added a property to allow people control over this feature. Well my property is set to TRUE, but no files are in the directory.

I guess Frey is going to have to rename the property to

set_me_to_whatever_you_want_because_I_am_not_used
or
use_errant_dir_sometimes

What gives?

Yes, I know it is a beta.

Yes, I have submitted it as a bug.

No, I am not trying to start a flame war. Just a little ticked about losing my files.
