Unable to set FF2 time on client
This is a strange one... has anyone tried changing the setting for the FF2 time on the client via the property: videoframe/ff_time2?
On the server, I can change every ff/rew/time_scroll setting now that the time scroll property has been restored. Thus ui/time_scroll_amount, videoframe/ff_time, videoframe/ff_time2, videoframe/rew_time, videoframe/rew_time2 all work. However, on my client, they all work except videoframe/ff_time2 -- I simply cannot get any new value to work for that single property. I filed a bug for this, but was told they cannot reproduce it. I haven't heard back yet on a follow-up email regarding whether it worked for Frey on the client too, or just the server. In the meantime... would someone try changing this on a client system (while SageTVClient is exited, of course) to see whether SageTVClient is simply picking on just me? - Andy |

Hi Andy,
I opened SageClient.Properties and changed the following: videoframe/ff_time2=150000 to videoframe/ff_time2=30000 and it worked as expected. Did you upgrade to 2.0.16 and downgrading to 2.0.15 at one point? If you did, you definately want to uninstall completely and reinstall because my client was not feeling well until I did. Been developing software for 16 years and I am convinced the software has the ability to "pick" on its owner. Regards, Mark |

I guess I may have to look at a completely new installation of my client... Quote:
- Andy Edit: I even looked in the properties file to make sure it wasn't listed twice or something... just don't know why it would skip _one_ property. Last edited by Opus4; 04-18-2004 at 08:36 AM. |

Never mind... it suddenly dawned on me to try this: I exited the client, deleted that one property, started the client, exited the client, noticed the property was replaced, changed it, started the client... and now it accepts my changes for ff2 time!
I have no idea what the problem was... but there is a way to restore a property that doesn't seem to have any effect any more. - Andy |
