SageTV does not recognise DVD folders in "Browse Media Files"

Hi

1. I often move DVD copies of my physical discs to my yacht or other residence, and simply plug in my 1TB passport - then when I try to browse to the folders, SageTV does not recognize these as DVD folders - so I cannot play them as DVDs. Is this a bug or a lack of feature?

2. I have installed the add-in to play Total Media Theatre for Blu Ray folders - how can I make it also work with HD-DVDs?

Thanks
Wayne

1. You'll need to add your external drive as an import directory and then do a refresh of all import directories in order for these to show up in Sage. The Browse functionality is no different than going thru folders on a hard drive, Sage is going to simply show you what's in the directory and not treat it any differently than other standard folders.

2. You will probably have to convert to an MKV, but someone else will have to help with this as I have never used HD-DVD's.

Recognizing DVD folders

Hi Paul

It's a real pain to have to wait for the scan to finish, just to open a DVD folder. As Sage already recognizes DVD folders when it scans them for an import, surely it would make sense for this logic to be able to recognize a folder that has DVD content as a DVD folder when you are browsing?

Thanks
Wayne
