Can anyone think of a clever way to pull fanart locally from a Placeshifter PC?
I know that our current fanart system looks for a central fanart folder on the server. I was curious if someone can think of a way to trick the STV into loading fanart from a local HHD on the Placeshifter PC. This is particularly useful for placeshifter PCs that connect via Internet. I'm pretty sure this is hardcoded for local drives on the server only; however, I thought I'd post here just in case there's a way.

I don't think there is any way to access the local system at all from placeshifter. Placeshifter, as well as extenders, run completely within the JVM on the server. The only conenctino they have with the client system is rendering and user interaction.
